Product Overview
What kind of car are you today? What kind of car would you like to be?
Cars ’R’ Us is a fun and interactive tool full of rich metaphors for exploring feelings, describing our good days and bad days, our mistakes and successes … and the significance of choices in our daily lives.
The pack consists of 52 beautifully illustrated fleet cards, 16 ‘know your vehicle’ cards, 10 thinking bubbles, one journey planner and an owner’s manual—all designed to help users navigate through life.
Inspired by choice theory, reality therapy and strengths-based ideas, Cars ‘R’ Us poses questions we can all use to ensure we are in the driver’s seat, with a tank full of fuel, ready to travel life’s roads, whether bumpy or smooth.
Bursting with personality and fun, these boisterous, quiet, shy, angry, happy and just plain goofy car characters spark conversations about what it means to be human.
Perfect for people of all ages, for use in one-one-one therapeutic sessions, groups, classrooms, or teams.

How to Use
- Naming feelings: Which card best describes how you are feeling now? Which car would you like to be by the end of the year?
- Making healthy choices: What does ‘being in the driver’s seat’ mean to you? How do you know when you’re travelling well?
- Dealing with problems: Use the ‘Know Your Vehicle’ and Fleet cards to invite people to reflect on what happens to their bodies, actions, thoughts and feelings, when life gets tough, and when things are going well.
- For groupwork: Invite each participant to choose a card representing their qualities or strengths. What rules or expectations does the group need to follow to keep all the cars safe on the road?
