Product Overview

Everyone experiences anxiety from time to time, but having a set of tried-and-true strategies for naming and managing anxious thoughts and feelings, like the ones in Anxiety Solutions, can make a huge difference.

Anxiety Solutions includes 50 clinically proven strategies and techniques, based on mindfulness, brain research, positive psychology, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and solution-focused brief therapy. Designed to help people of all ages, each card features a unique design and coping strategy so people can choose an approach that is right for them.

Anxiety is the most common mental health condition in Australia. Anxiety Solutions can help people explore the things that are causing them anxiety, including family challenges, relationships, work, health, grief, change, body image, addiction, and much more.

Ideal for therapeutic settings, social work and education.

How to Use
  • Personal: Choose some strategies you can do everyday … while waiting in line, driving in traffic, or in difficult social situations.
  • Classrooms or social work: Encourage people to try the different strategies and give each one a ‘calm rating’ between 1 and 10.
  • School wellbeing counsellors: Use the cards to help students build strategies for dealing with exams, social anxiety and other life stresses.
  • Therapeutic settings: Invite people to choose a card and try that strategy once a day for a week. Ask them to note when and where they used the strategy each day, and what effect it had on their mind and body (keeping a journal can be helpful).

Testimonials

I have a big heart for Innovative Resources and their tools because they’ve really journeyed with me as I’ve grown as a therapist

Pip Westwood, Play Therapist Masters in Child Play Therapy | Undergraduate in Psychology | Private Practice

The most common question we’re asked is how do we talk with children about grief? Innovative Resources cards are a great place to start.

Shelly Skinner, CEO of Lionheart Lionheart’s programs are designed to educate children, teens, and adults about grief and loss.

We regularly used Innovative Resources card sets for team building, debriefing and talking about hopes and pictures of the future. I love the non-prescriptive nature of the cards. They are particularly useful in learning and talking about feelings with people of all ages who are not used to putting language to their feelings.
