How to Use
  • Getting started: Do any of the cards represent how you have been feeling lately? Pick a card that represents something you’d like to focus on today. Pick a card that represents something you’d most like to change. Pick a card that represents a way forward.
  • Self-reflection: Which card represents something you haven’t thought about before? Which card represents something you would like other people to understand?
  • Pairing cards: Choose two cards you think complement each other. Why? Choose two cards you think have opposite meanings. How are they different? Do you experience both of these opposites as well? What causes your experience to shift from one to the other?

using Eating Disorders to enhance my practice

‘I love these cards—the art is engaging and respectful of the big concepts they explore. I appreciate how eating disorders are presented neutrally, encouraging open and honest conversations about both positive and negative aspects.
The cards are ideal for eating disorders but also useful for other challenges and coping mechanisms. The booklet offers clear explanations, practical ideas, and a Strengths-Based approach, which has deepened my understanding and boosted my confidence in working with eating disorders.’

review by Dan Jackson, NZ
using the cards in my practice

‘I tried the cards with several medically stable clients, and feedback was very positive. Clients felt they’d be especially helpful for clinicians who struggle to connect or keep sessions moving.

The characters were seen as approachable and non-confrontational. Cards that sparked the most impact included: How could you lighten the load?, What happens when eating disorders compete?, What helps you face everyday challenges?, and the best for conversation—What do you see when you look in the mirror?

I’ll definitely keep using them in my practice.’
